Q: What is a Boogie Shade?

A: Boogie Shade is a UV-protective sleeve designed to slip over the glass portion of your lava or glitter lamp when it’s turned off. It blocks harmful sunlight, prevents fading, and keeps your lamp’s colors bold, vibrant, and timeless.

Q: Can I use the Boogie Shade while my lamp is on?

A: No. For safety and performance, Boogie Shade is intended only for use when your lamp is turned off.

Q: What materials are the shades made from?

A: We use premium vinyl or fabric (depending on the style) that provides up to 100% UV protection. The vinyl used for the Original Shade is a polyurethane/polyester blend.

Q: Do the shades fit all lava lamps?

A: Our covers are designed to fit most of the LAVA^® lava and glitter brand lamps. Size chart provided on each product page.  If you have a rare or oversized model, feel free to reach out and we’ll help confirm the fit.

Care & Use

Q: How do I care for my shade?

A: Wipe gently with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh cleaners or abrasives to keep your cover looking its best. Do not machine wash and do not place in the dryer.

Q: Will the shade damage my lamp?

A: Not at all. The shade simply slips over the glass portion when the lamp is cool and off — no adhesive or permanent alteration required.

A: Most orders ship within 1-2 business days. You’ll receive a tracking number as soon as your shade is on its way.

Q: Do you ship internationally?

A: Yes! We currently ship to a few international locations, with additional locations being added soon.
